It’s been quite a week for sure. In fact, it’s taken me till today to be able to sit down and put in this entry. The book signing with Eden Royce and Matthew Saunders on October 10th went AWESOME. Pictures below. We sold out of our 25 copies of Bloody Carnival and sold 26 copies of Flesh & Bone. Not J.K. Rowling sales, but we’ll take it. We were very well supported by our friends and family and appreciate their presence and interest in our writing. Thanks to all who came. Then on Wednesday, I had two boxes on my front porch when I got home. One was filled with 16 copies of Monster Mash (it’s alive!) and the other box, supposed to be filled with copies of Fem-Fangs, was astonishingly… empty. Apparently, the US Postal Service destroyed the box, dumped the books somewhere between Nebraska and here, repaired the box without putting the books back inside, then delivered an empty box to my house. And we wonder why the USPS is in so much trouble.
But I digress.
Jessy at Pill Hill has already graciously agreed to send replacements for my 15 copies of Fem-Fangs and they should be here in time for our next signing. Please check out the invitation on my Facebook page. It will be on 31 Oct 2010 at Joseph Beth Booksellers, South Park Mall, Charlotte, NC from 3 to 5. Yes, on Halloween. How cool is that?
That’s all for now. See you next time!
